San Diego Clinical Hypnotherapy presents its workshop “Hypnosis and the Power of the Subconscious Mind”, this Saturday afternoon, June 8, at Asteria up in Apple Valley, CA. “Asteria is a four-day festival located at Oak Springs Ranch and Riding Stables. This high desert location is filled with natural wonders for you to explore. Take a day trip to the local hot springs, scale the front or hike the backside of Butt Rock, or visit the medicine caves. We promise you a natural landscape filled with vistas and environments of astounding beauty and potent healing energy.
By day Asteria is filled with workshops, playshops and relaxing spaces. By night Asteria is a teeming vortex of music, lights, and areas that invite you to play with any and all aspects of who and what you think you are.
Asteria aspires to create an environment that allows you to participate, actively explore, and push the depths of your psyche through physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual experiences. We strive to awaken the dormant qualities within you, and encourage them to blossom by inviting Healers, Warriors, Teachers, and Visionaries to join in this sacred space.
Our vision is to provide a place in which you can joyfully (re)discover and (re)claim your personal power and use it to energize the global shift in consciousness that is already underway.
The doorway has been opened. The path begins with the first step.”

This workshop explains the trance state of hypnosis and how it works through the subconscious mind, as hypnosis is a natural, yet altered state. Further discussion will show how the conscious, subconscious and superconscious (higher-self/soul) work together and how specifically the subconscious is the most powerful tool that we have direct access to as it controls both our mind and body. Working from that base of understanding, it becomes easier to see how hypnosis/hypnotherapy work with the subconscious to initiate fast and lasting results within oneself. This also explains a lot about why willpower is often not enough to initiate lasting change as willpower is based in the conscious mind.
We will also briefly discuss the history of hypnosis, dating back to the Egyptian “Sleep or Dream” temples and even before as the second oldest profession in the world, to its modern history with the American Medical and Psychological Associations in the 50’s leading to its current validity in mainstream society and medical applications.
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and the workshop will finish with a group hypnosis session where everyone will be able to participate, if they choose, then talk about their individual hypnosis experiences.
